#SciFi Book Tour for The Argon Factor by Heather Harlow @HeatherMHarlow #Kindle

Welcome to the Book Tour for Heather Harlow's The Argon Factor. This is an exciting, edge of your seat and action packed story about what could happen in our future if technology gets ahead of us. Already climbing the Sci-Fi and Fantasy charts it has reached both the #1 slots for Universe and Solar System. Oh and did we mention that there is an attraction in this story lurking just beneath the surface? Mark our words readers this is going to be a good one. So strap yourselves in, because this is your third stop on The Argon Factor book tour.

In a futuristic world, where Earth’s cities are still recovering from being ravaged by gang wars, cyber crime is at it’s peak and threatens the world’s digitized monetary supply.

Susan Caldwell is a newly hired security development manager at GTS, the company that controls the world’s monetary supply and data. The sophisticated systems have been hacked and now people on Susan’s team are being killed while they try to fix the breach.

Susan, who trusts no man, must rely upon the GTS CEO, Christoph Baldric, to keep her safe. Little does she know that he’s the Argon alien commander on Earth. She’s not interested in him, doesn’t want a hookup with him, but is extremely attracted to him. Susan has her own plans and will be having a baby through the fertility clinic. She’s excited about her pending future, that is, if she is still alive.

Christoph Baldric’s mission is to protect the Earth’s humans and nurture them so that eventually his people can merge with the humans. Christoph’s planet, Argon, was blown up when their major sun exploded into a black hole. The people of Argon have been studying and nurturing Earth for many millennia as a new, potential home. Now is the time to make Earth their home and begin merging with Earth’s humans, making both races stronger.

But first, the Argonians must save Earth from the Grogan’s, the Argon nemesis from their home universe, Baldracon, who want to eliminate all life on Earth and take the planet for their own.

PG Excerpt

“You are in shock, and you need to get some rest,” he was saying, as she turned to look at him.

When she turned to face him to tell him she needed to stay at work, she looked into his eyes and forgot what she was going to say. He was so close to her, and he was still slowly rubbing her back with his hand. It felt so good, she didn’t want it to stop. And he was so close. Her heart sped up a bit as she wondered what it would feel like to kiss him. His lips looked so soft and inviting. Her sleep deprivation had lowered her basic defenses.

She was leaning into him – or was he leaning into her? She didn’t really care who was doing what when his lips met hers. She was lost in the feel of his kiss – and in the magnetic force that seemed to be fogging her mind and overwhelming Christoph.

… he couldn’t resist her and he couldn’t resist just tweaking their energy movements just a little bit. Unlike human men, who did this manipulation unconsciously and based purely on instinct, he was purposefully manipulating her. It wasn’t hard when her lips felt so good. He easily decided to probe deeper. He opened his mouth slightly, and her lips followed suit. He gently pushed his tongue into her mouth – again, she responded in kind.

When Christoph touched her tongue with his, she thought that her head was going to explode. The chemistry between them was amazing, and she wanted more. She wanted to feel him pressed against her. She unknowingly moved closer so that her body was touching his. At the same time, she encouraged him to pick up the pace of the kiss. He responded, and kissed her back with an urgency that she couldn’t help but reciprocate. She was intoxicated by him, and she pushed a little closer as she put her hands on his shoulders.

Heather Harlow has wanted to be an author since adolescence.  The Argon Factor is her first book in a series about aliens from the planet Argon.
She’s always been a fan of superheroes:  Batman and Robin, Spiderman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Six Million Dollar Man, and the Bionic Woman. She likes sci-fi movies and series, like Star Trek and Battle Star Galactica. More recently, she’s been enjoying the Avenger movies. In addition to her sci-fi interests, she’s a romantic.   Therefore, it was natural for her to write about science fiction and combine it with a human interest story that has sex and romance in it.

Heather graduated from University of Memphis (BBA) and Tennessee Technological University (MBA).  Her day job is in IT at a major telecommunications company.  She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her dogs, Mickey (13), a Golden Retriever, Jack (5mos), a black Lab/shepherd mix, and two cats, Smokey and Cali. She loves wine, good music, great food, the beach, swimming, exercising, football (college and NFL), World Cup Soccer, and NHL Playoffs.

“Good morning, beautiful.” Nick smiled. Reaching up, tracing her lip with his thumb.

“Morning.”

“Did you sleep well?”

“I did. For the first time in years. Did you?” He laid back, grabbing her, pulling her back into his chest.

“I did.” He felt her melt into his body. She felt like silk against him. This was something he could get used to.

“You know, kid…I’ve never let anyone sleep here before. Ever.”

She raised her head, looking into his eyes. She could tell this wasn’t a line of bullshit. He meant what he said. She kissed his lips, laying her head back onto his chest.

“Why me?”

“I don’t know. This shit between us is insane.”

Insane yes, but she knew whatever this was couldn’t go anywhere.

He was married. Plus, he was with Amy.

And she was with Eric.

Oh God. Eric.

She allowed herself to feel guilty for a few seconds, before reminding herself why she was there in the first place.

“So. Where do we go from here, kid?”

“What do you mean?”

“You know exactly what I mean. I want to continue whatever this is between us.”

“Are you nuts? How are we going to do that, Nick? You’re married. I have Eric, and you’re seeing Amy and probably countless others. Considering I’ve never done anything like this before in my life, I don’t want to be part of the harem. I won’t be.”

“Hey…hey.” He moved her head up to look into her eyes. “I knew from the minute I laid eyes on you we would be here, kid. I’m not going to play you like that. The girls are gone. Except Connie. My wife. I’m not going to lie to you. I have no plans of leaving her right now. That’s the way it has to be for now.”

He softly brushed a strand of hair from her face.

“You know who I am, kid. You also know exactly what I do. Do you want this life? You need to tell me now.”

His directness caught her off guard. She did know who he was, what he was. At some point she wouldn’t be ok with any of it. For some reason, she was ok with it now.

The orgasm might have helped.

“You want this or not, kid?” He asked again.

“I want this.”

It was his turn to be caught off guard. He never expected her to say yes.

He thought he was safe.

How the hell did she find a way into his heart so damn quickly? If he had any sense, he would walk, no run away now. It was all way too dangerous for them both.

She saw the look on his face.

“Maybe we should go. Won’t your wife wonder where you’re at?”

He didn’t answer immediately, getting up so they could get dressed.

“By now, yes. She’s used to my being out all night, but I’m usually home by now. I’m sure there’s about a million voice mails waiting for me. What about Eric? Won’t he wonder where you’re at?”

“No. He had a show in Pennsylvania last night. He knew I was planning on staying out. Besides, I’m pretty sure he’s still in bed with some groupie whore. At least I know he uses condoms.”

Unlike them.

well...alisa did stuff and is still doing stuff. only now she has two boys crazy enuff to want her as their mommy. hey, at least she tried to warn them, so her job is done. she doesn’t like to capitalize, partially because she likes how lower case letters look visually, but mostly out of laziness. please don't judge. it could be you. and she would say, hey. you're alright, buddy. you're ok in my book. now c'mere for a hug. the hug might be pushing it. air kiss? you are strangers, after all, with only a mutual love of poor grammar.

she lives for a world full of controllable anatomically correct, android men programmed to meet her specific feminine needs (wink, wink, nudge, nudge with a big waggle of the eyebrows). who look like the rock. and ian somerhalder. and idris elba. and that's it she promises. variety. gotta have variety, right?

but alas...apparently that exists only in johanna lindsey's genius mind. so until then, she enjoys her incredibly warped sense of humor. she reads tons of erotica and romantic, drippy goo that makes her heart go pitter patter. then she thought, hey. what, she said to herself. (softly, of course, so no one finds out she is indeed, 2 nuts short of a fruitcake) maybe you should write this stuff too. maybe someone will like it and maybe buy it. so she said, huh, you think? then she said, well...yeah, i wouldn't have suggested it...(inserts sarcastic tone) and then she was like lose the attitude, ok? then she was all, would you just shut up and write, already? sheesh! and she did. :)

Madeline Archer's, The Changeling Book Tour presented by @SensuousPromos #Paranormal #Sweet

Welcome to the Book Tour for Madeline Archer's The Changeling. This is a sweet paranormal love story which has just been made available, but it's already gaining interest and climbing the Amazon charts.

Half-fae Lenox Pendry is surrounded by secrets and none are his to keep. Plucked from his mother’s arms as an infant and raised a changeling, Lenox grows to adulthood unaware of what and who he is and oblivious to the danger unfolding as his birthday draws near. After he’s unwittingly sent to the Scottish Lowlands out of harm’s way, he chances to meet a beautiful healer named Janet Roxburgh. The townspeople believe her to be a witch. It would appear Janet has a few secrets of her own.

Note: Madeline Archer is the pen name of award-winning author Rose Anderson. The Changeling comes from the sweeter side of Rose’s imagination and was inspired by the Scottish ballad of Tam Lin. Rated PG.

Excerpt~
Setting the Stage:

Three babies are born one night in a convoluted, yet calculated, turn of events. The first infant is cruelly torn from his grieving mother’s arms and swapped for another to be raised a changeling. The third child dies shortly after birth. In a daring act of love, the first infant replaces the third before his new mother knows her own child has died. Or that’s the plan…

November 1, 1867

Frances March hurried cautiously along the stable wall. So distracted by their conspiracy of mercy, she nearly jumped out of her shoes at the nicker of a horse. The sooner this deed was done, the better.

Pressing flat to the wall, she listened for the stableman, but heard only the muffled sound of stabled horses and the hoot of a distant owl. It was imperative that no one — upstairs or down —  see her. She peered around the corner and watched as her sister disappeared through the hedge. Pulling her shawl tightly around her and the bundle she held, she scurried across the gardens to the library and slipped inside quietly. The head butler was waiting.

He stated rather than asked, “You’re certain no one saw you . . . ”

With a nod she went to warm herself by the fire, her bundle held close. The grandfather clock in the hall struck one.

Osgood checked his watch against it. He pressed, “Did you explain to your sister she must never speak of this again?”

“Yes, Mr. Osgood. As I said before, Agnes says no one would believe the truth of it anyway. She’d be ridiculed…her reputation ruined. And there’s always the possibility she could be blamed for the other. It is unbelievable, no?”

“It is at that.” Osgood nodded. “I scarcely believe it myself, Fanny. What about the poor still babe?”

Her eyes brimmed with tears. “Agnes will see him to the cradle and hopefully none will be the wiser. Mrs. Benton will think her own baby died and he’ll get a decent burial. And that’s pretty much the truth, isn’t it? Her own son is as good as dead. Poor, poor laddie, wherever he is now.” She crossed herself.

Osgood peered out into the night before locking the French doors and drawing the heavy curtains closed. “It’s as it should be.”

“Is it? Was it wise to switch them, Mr. Osgood? I mean, the baker and his wife —”

“— Had their child taken, with nothing to be done for it. They have seven living children to love, Fanny. Her ladyship has four in the grave. Five now.”

Frances frowned. “Has her ladyship awakened?”

He shook his head. “Doctor Fischer administered a sedative. Lady Amelia was done out. She went to sleep believing her child alive and has no idea of the tragedy that occurred but half an hour later.”

My poor lady. To go through that long labor and, in the end, the babe too weak to survive.” Emotion welling, Frances wiped her eyes. “What do you suppose they do with the babies they take?”

Osgood blinked his own sentiment away. “I can’t say. My old Welsh grannie said the fae only took the sickly ones. But back then it was only legend.”

“My Scottish gran told us the same,” Frances said, shaking her head. “But Agnes says Libby Benton’s baby wasn’t sickly but strong and healthy. Nearly every child of the Benton’s is as towheaded as their father, except for the two with the ginger hair like their mother. Agnes said Libby’s babe was destined to be ginger.”

Osgood went to the decanter and poured two small glasses of sherry. He handed one to her before downing his in one swallow. “Did your sister witness the switch?”

Frances sipped then shook her head. “When Agnes went to tidy the mother, she left the sleeping babe in the crib with no one to watch him. And, why would she think he needed to be watched? She helped bring the others into the world without fuss. It was minutes only that he was out of her sight. When she went back, another, with black hair, was in his place. That’s when she told Libby the babe was asleep and she should rest a while. So distressed was Agnes that she ran up to the hill to find me.”

He nodded. “It was fortunate she did. Another hour and everyone might have known.”

“Oh yes, it was fortunate. Libby’s husband was at the bakery mixing his dough, and the other children were sleeping up the stairs . . . one more child to such a large family brought little interest in him, you see. There was no one to witness the deed. Will you be telling Mrs. Smithson?”

“No, Fanny. No one in this household, save you and I, will know. Of course Mrs. Smithson would keep the secret if I asked her to, but that isn’t necessary. We shan’t burden anyone else with the truth.”

Frances uncovered the bundle in her arms. Looking down, she smiled. “He’s a handsome laddie, don’t you think? I’m no expert, mind, but Agnes and I both suspect the babe is of mixed race. His little ears . . . ”

Moving to her side, Osgood broke into a smile of his own. The little bundled boy was sleeping. He ran a gentle fingertip over the small, slightly pointed ear. “Yes, he very well could be. And yes, he’s a handsome little man  — dark like Master Evan was. May his soul in heaven forgive us.”

The lady’s maid put a reassuring hand on the head butler’s arm. “He wouldn’t want her ladyship’s heart to be broken more than it already is. You know how he loved her.”

“I do,” he nodded. “As I see it, the baker’s child is no more, taken away to some faery hill no doubt, never to be seen again, if the old stories are true. This little boy did not belong with the Benton family anyway. He’s black-haired, for one. He’d grow being different, maybe disliked or mistrusted, even despised by his father as another man’s bastard. Danny Benton is a highlander. You know how they are — with their superstitions —  when they feel something isn’t quite right. The child would suffer for a situation not of his making. It harms no one that he be raised a Pendry.”

She nodded. “Yes, you’re right Mr. Osgood. If nothing else, this is the better life of the two.”

“It most certainly is. Master Evan is gone and Master John has been missing for a fortnight. Solicitors across London have been inquiring high and low for his whereabouts, but it isn’t looking good, Fanny. Should anything have happened to Master John, there is no other heir living. This little man may very well become the 10th Earl of Pendry.”

To the babe, Osgood leaned down and whispered, “And the family name will continue because of you. Shall we meet your mummy little sir?”

Excerpt from “Moon People”

Drake laid it on really well. “I thought I loved Constance, but after seeing you, I knew we were soul mates,” Drake told Vanessa. “I’d like to take you to the festival today. Meet me at the backdoor of the fun-house, but don’t tell Constance, I don’t want her following you and making a scene.”

“You made a wise decision, Drake,” Vanessa said. “I’ll be there in ten minutes.”

I knew Vanessa would bring Gretchen, and that was the plan.

At the fun-house, I hid inside when Vanessa and Drake entered. The exhibits were not open to the public for another two hours, so—if my plan failed—Drake and I both were dead.

Taking Vanessa by the hand, Drake led her down a dark corridor. “Where are you taking me?” she asked playfully.

“There’re monster masks on this side of the fun-house,” he said, leading her to the back door and abruptly stopping.

Looking around, Vanessa saw nothing but janitor equipment. “Hey, what’s gong on?” she asked, confused. “Where are the scary masks?”

“Right here,” Drake said, removing the dried seaweed from his pocket.

He threw it into her face, blinding her and scorching her flesh. Screaming as loud as she could, she turned to ash.

“You bastard!” Gretchen shouted on hearing Vanessa’s death scream. “Better ones than you and Constance have tried to kill me and failed.”

Taking off like a shot, Drake ran down an opposite hall leading into the maze of mirrors with Gretchen following. From where I stood, I heard their approaching footsteps and raced to the other side of the maze.

Suddenly, Gretchen cornered Drake. When Gretchen realized he was out of seaweed, she advanced slowly, enjoying every instant of his anticipated murder.

Listening to her steps, I knew exactly where she was. Immediately, I flipped on the overhead lights, giving Gretchen the shock of her life. She was in the maze of funny mirrors surrounded by images depicting her beautiful face as distorted and grotesque. Horrified, she became hysterical before melting into a stinking ooze of fish scales.

“Gross!” Drake said.

“Yes, but it’s over. Willowick is saved,” I said, and slowly I crept into his arms.

Afterward, I used my conch and contacted Poseidon and the others. I told them they were unwelcome in Willowick. Instead, I suggested they go far away into Asian waters, telling them it was too dangerous here, humans had learned how to kill our kind.
